2. Stand alone/ Offgrid Solar System
3. Hybrid Solar system
Now I will discuss all the above-mentioned configuration types in detail.
1. Ongrid/Grid Solar System

1. Ongrid/Grid Solar System

- On-Grid Systems are solar PV systems that only generate power when the utility power grid is available. They must connect to the grid to function.
- These are the simplest systems and the most cost-effective to install.
- These do not provide power during a grid outage
- They provide power to the Load and grid simultaneously. In the day time, these systems provide power to load and grid, and in the night load takes power from the grid. There is a two-way power flow.
- There are no uses of batteries.
- The benefit of grid-tie solar installations is that they reduce your reliance on the big electricity companies and ensure that more of your electricity is produced in an environmentally efficient way.
- One disadvantage of most grid-tie systems is that if there is a power cut, power from your solar array is also cut
2. Stand-alone/ Offgrid solar system

- These systems allow you to store your solar power in batteries for use at night.
- There is no grid involve means not you can send solar power to grid neither u get power from the grid in night or day. In this solar system, you use batteries to store power so that you can use this storage in the night.

- Hybrid solar systems generate power in the same way as a common grid-tie solar system but use special hybrid inverters and batteries to store energy for later use.
- This ability to store energy enables most hybrid systems to also operate as a backup power supply during a blackout, similar to a UPS system.
